Privacy

The short version

Quartet is an independent project operated by Brady Africk. It collects the minimum needed to sign you in and run your searches. It does not sell your data and does not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers.

What is collected

• Your email address — used only to send sign-in links and to associate your saved work with your account.
• The work you create — the areas, searches, tasks, and notes you make, so they can be stored and shown back to you.
• A session cookie — a single first-party cookie that keeps you signed in. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
• Basic server logs — standard request metadata (such as IP address and timestamps) kept for security and to operate the service.

How it is used

Your information is used to provide the service: to authenticate you, run and store your searches, and keep the site secure and working. It is not used for advertising and is not sold or rented.

Third parties

Delivering the map and imagery involves a few external providers that process requests on your behalf: satellite imagery from ESA / Copernicus and its mirrors, basemap tiles from mapping providers, and cloud hosting on Amazon Web Services (US region). Quartet does not share your account information with them for their own purposes.

Retention and your choices

You can delete any task or saved area at any time from the My Tasks page. Sign-in links are short-lived. To have your account and associated data removed, email the address below and it will be handled.
